This photo of the HALE family of Penny Bont, the older man is George Thomas Hale who was SS suprintendant of Red Brick Chapel. Behind him is one of his daughters Violet Hale with husband Jim Burton. The older lady is Hanah Mercy Hale, wife of George Hale, and behind her is Evelyn Hale, with husband Reg Nelmes. If there is any one in Abertillery that remembers them please contact me, grandson of George Hale.

The picture below is somewhat earlier, I guess 1920's these were the ladies of the Whitsun walks, I think on the front row with hands on little girl is Hanah Mery Hale, and at the right front row is Evelyn and Violet Hale.

This is the Wedding of Violet Hale ( my mum) outside Providence Villa, Penny Bont, Tillery Rd. With George & Hanah Hale with family members. 1931 ish.

Another picture of the Whit walks, again with George Hale in the front row, with Olive Hale 3 rows back in the wheel chair. I would love to hear from any one who remembers the Hale family. Bernard Burton. .
